Como vim aqui parar? Olho lentamente em redor… aos poucos as imagens vão-se fixando e a memória vai retornando... Estou na Ilha da Madeira, a subir vagarosamente para o Pico Ruivo. Devo ter cerrado os olhos momentaneamente e passado instantaneamente pelas brasas. Que horas são? Olho para o Garmin. São 11h40. Ainda só estou a subir há 20 minutos. Tocados pelo fogo. Tor des Géants Endurance Trail - TDG 2016 - S01E00 - Próximo objetivo

Rei morto, rei posto! Terminado o ciclo de 3 anos que me levou até ao UTMB, é chegada a hora de encerrar esse capítulo e dar início à preparação para outro desafio Após 3 provas de 100 milhas e uma de 214 km, é chegada a altura de fazer um upgrade no grau de dificuldade e preparar-me para enfrentar um desafio ainda maior. Existiriam outras provas de 100 milhas igualmente interessantes, tais como a Ronda del Cims , ou várias das provas do Ultra-Trail World Tour , ou mesmo da Spain Ultra Cup , aqui ao lado no país vizinho. No entanto, há já algum tempo que ando a sonhar com a participação nos 330 km com 24.000 D+ do Tor des Géants Endurance Trail e, agora que me libertei do compromisso anterior, chegou a altura de me lançar nesse desafio. Inicio agora a preparação para a edição de 2016, caso o sorteio me venha a ser favorável. 26ª Maratona de Lisboa

Crónica de uma conquista anunciada. Há já um ano que tinha como objectivo baixar das 3 horas na mítica distância da Maratona. Tinha-o tentado no Porto em Novembro de 2010 e novamente em Lisboa em Dezembro do mesmo ano.  No Porto fiquei-me pelas 3:09 , com parciais de 1:33 + 1:36. Em Lisboa quedei-me pelas 3:13 , com parciais de 1:31 + 1:42. Nesta última, ao início ainda tentei seguir a bandeirinha das 3 horas, mas cedo abandonei esse propósito. Ainda assim, consegui fazer a primeira metade em 1:31, o que ainda permitia manter a esperança no sucesso. No entanto, a dureza da prova, conjugada com as condições meteorológicas adversas e a falta de preparação para um tão ambicioso objectivo, levaram a que eu quebrasse na longa subida da Almirante Reis. Paciência, o desafio teria que ficar para o esperançoso ano de 2011. Entretanto comecei a preparar-me para os 101 km de Ronda , para os 70 km da Freita e para os 78 km do Swissalpine , e não voltei a pensar na Maraton...
